Jobot is seeking a Hybrid Remote Civil Rights Litigation Attorney in Del Mar, CA for a permanent role focused on defending civil rights claims and high-profile cases.

The ideal candidate has a JD, admitted to the bar in the relevant state, and at least 5 years of civil rights litigation; strong negotiation and writing skills are essential. This position offers hybrid remote work, growth opportunities, and exposure to well-known clients.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school is required.
• Bar admission in the practicing state is required.
• Minimum 5 years of civil rights litigation experience with a strong track record.
• Extensive mediation experience and excellent negotiation skills.
• Deep knowledge of federal and state civil rights laws and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal defense for civil rights violations, incl. discrimination claims.
• Conduct defense research and case development.
• Draft, review, and file complaints, motions, briefs, and appeals.
• Negotiate settlements in mediation and other proceedings.
• Advocate in court with compelling arguments and evidence.
• Stay updated on civil rights law developments and apply to cases.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and staff to handle cases efficiently.
• Provide legal advice and guide clients on rights and options.
• Participate in community outreach and education on civil rights issues.
