Job summary

Qualifications

• Applicant must be enrolled as a part-time/full-time student at a college, university, or technical institute at the time they apply.
• Preference may be given to applicants who are juniors/seniors and SD residents or SD institution students.
• Successful applicant(s) will be required to undergo a background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Assist Family Services Specialists with families whose children are unsafe and may be placed out of their parent's home; duties may include direct interventions and coordinating services.
• Travel throughout the state with Division staff, participate in family team meetings, and support foster and relative homes.
