Job summary

Young Mens Christian Association of the Pikes Peak Region is seeking a Camp Executive Director to oversee overnight camp operations at Camp Shady Brook. You will budget, manage finances, and mentor staff and volunteers to deliver safe, high-quality programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• YMCA multi-team or branch leadership certification preferred.
• Significant experience in day-to-day overnight camping operations and programming.
• Strong understanding of camp disciplines: safety, wellness, and environmental learning.
• Experience with program evaluation, statistics, and planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead overnight camp operations at Camp Shady Brook under VP guidance.
• Budgeting, expense control, and financial results oversight.
• Educate and motivate staff and volunteers to apply best practices.
• Coordinate marketing, program development, and site growth.
• Ensure safety, quality, and compliance with YMCA standards.
