Job summary

Regional Transit Service (RTS) in New York is seeking Bus Operators for both full-time and part-time roles. You will drive buses on scheduled routes, assist passengers, and perform pre-trip inspections. Qualifications

• Valid NY State CDL with passenger endorsement and no seating restrictions preferred.
• If not fully licensed, we will train you.
• Must have Class B permit with passenger endorsement prior to start date.
• Clean driving record and at least 5 years of regular Class D driving experience required.
• Excellent Customer Service skills are a must.
• Will be required to pass a post-offer 19A physical.

Responsibilities

• Operates a bus or other revenue service vehicle to safely transport customers along designated routes and according to established schedules. Picks up customers in response to scheduled service, radio, or telephone requests and assists customers with boarding and exiting the vehicle as needed. Responsibilities also include completing required trip logs, reporting vehicle malfunctions, and conducting pre-trip vehicle inspections before departure.
