TELUS Health is seeking a senior backend developer to strengthen our platforms that power Canada’s employee benefits. You will own end-to-end tickets, design secure, maintainable backend systems, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver high-quality features.

You’ll work with C# and .NET 4.8, craft complex T-SQL for SQL Server, and build robust APIs, while participating in Agile ceremonies and CI/CD deployments. This role emphasizes ownership, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• 5+ years backend development experience, demonstrated growth
• Strong C# and .NET 4.8 expertise
• Advanced relational database skills with T-SQL
• Experience building APIs and backend services
• Solid OOP and design pattern knowledge
• Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration
• Ownership of tickets and independent problem solving

Responsibilities

• Own tickets end-to-end: analyze, implement fixes, deploy
• Develop and optimize backend logic in C#/.NET 4.8
• Write and optimize T-SQL queries in SQL Server
• Build and maintain APIs and backend services
• Participate in agile ceremonies and collaborate with analysts
• Engage in code reviews and knowledge sharing
• Deploy features through CI/CD pipeline
