Telluride School District R-1 is seeking an Assistant Varsity Coach for Boys Ice Hockey at Telluride High School (9-12). Qualifications

Must meet the assistant coaching requirements of Telluride School District and the coaching requirements set forth by CHSAA.
Previous coaching experience in assigned sport is desirable.
Has knowledge and background in the assigned sport.

Responsibilities

Has a thorough knowledge of policies of the Telluride Middle/High School Athletics Department and is responsible for its implementation.
Maintains discipline and works to increase morale and cooperation within the school sports programs.
Is accountable to the head coach for all equipment and assists the head coach with inventorying, issuing and storing of equipment.
Be prepared and get certified to drive a district vehicle, completing and submitting all forms and driving tests, including a SUV and minibus
Monitors locker room and authorizes who may enter before and after practice/game.
