Job summary

George Mason University’s Intercollegiate Athletics department is seeking an Assistant Coach for Women’s Rowing to train and mentor student-athletes toward peak performance. You will work closely with the Head Coach on practice plans, strategy, safety, and program operations while ensuring adherence to NCAA and conference rules.

Minimum qualifications include a Master’s degree or equivalent, competitive rowing experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to obtain CPR/AED First Aid

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Competitive collegiate rowing experience.
• Knowledge of NCAA, conference and Commonwealth rules.
• Valid driver’s license and GMU vehicle policy compliance.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Teach and coach women's rowing to achieve peak competitive performance.
• Oversee safety and welfare of student-athletes.
• Assist Head Coach with program operations and recruiting strategy.
• Ensure compliance with NCAA, conference, and university rules.
• Coordinate with equipment, business operations, and academic services.
