Job summary

SpaceX in Wisconsin seeks an Applications Software Engineer, Internal Systems to own and evolve mission critical applications used in Starship manufacturing and Starlink platforms.

You will join a team of engineers to build scalable software, prototype key concepts, and ensure performance and reliability across complex systems. This onsite role demands strong full-stack skills, modern CI/CD practices, and close collaboration with cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or scientific discipline; OR 2+ years of professional experience building software in lieu of a degree
• Experience in full stack development
• Proven ability to design and build scalable software systems
• Strong understanding of testing, CI/CD, and monitoring practices
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production
• Familiarity with Unix-like OS and related tooling

Responsibilities

• Develop highly reliable software solutions used across SpaceX
• Create new applications to improve operations across SpaceX
• Build prototypes to prove design concepts and quantify constraints
• Own all aspects of software engineering and product development
• Deep dive into users' problems to craft efficient solutions
• Collaborate in architecture, design, and code reviews
