Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Software Engineer for Internal Applications to own end-to-end software development for mission-critical systems used across SpaceX. You will build applications supporting Starship manufacturing and Starlink operations, collaborating with cross-functional teams on architecture and delivery.

The role emphasizes ownership, performance optimization, and rapid iteration in a fast-paced, on-site environment at Hawthorne, CA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or scientific discipline; OR 2+ years of professional software development experience.
• 1+ years of experience in full stack development.

Responsibilities

• Develop highly reliable software solutions used across SpaceX.
• Create new applications to improve SpaceX operations.
• Build prototypes to prove key design concepts and quantify constraints.
• Own all aspects of software engineering and product development.
• Deep dive into users' problems to create efficient solutions.
• Contribute to architecture, design, and code reviews with the team.
