Job summary

arc After School and Experiential Education in Los Angeles is seeking a Program Leader for its after-school program. This part-time role guides students, leads activities, provides homework help, and runs enrichment while ensuring a safe and engaging environment.

You will work Monday to Friday, 2pm-6pm (one day with a shorter schedule). Prior experience in diverse settings and bilingual ability are valued, with a focus on social-emotional learning and student growth.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in after-school programs or youth recreation.
• Strong communication with kids and parents.
• 48+ college credits completed or pass proficiency exam.
• TB test and negative Live Scan background check.
• Bilingual English-Spanish speakers encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome kids to the program after school.
• Organize and lead activities, including homework help, recreation games, arts and crafts, and educational projects.
• Join in indoor and outdoor enrichment activities.
• Create unique clubs for students, e.g., career readiness, cooking, anime, and dance.
• Maintain a secure environment by following safety protocols and monitoring student behavior.
• Oversee the safety and well-being of students during after-school activities.
• Encourage participation and adapt activities to meet diverse needs and interests.
