Job summary

Immigration and Customs Enforcement seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (PA/NP) to deliver detainee care, perform evaluations, minor procedures, and prescribe medications. The role reports to the Supervisory APP with potential regional responsibilities and academy training.

The position requires PA or NP licensure, board certification, and readiness for duty in a correctional health setting, with ongoing education and compliance with IHSC policies.

Qualifications

• Meet licensure requirements for NP or PA with appropriate state privileges.
• Current CPR/BLS certification and DEA license to prescribe controlled medications.
• Experience in correctional health care and IHSC policies is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide detainee care, including evaluations, minor procedures, and prescriptions.
• Coordinate referrals to off-site consultants and manage infectious disease care.
• Attend meetings and participate in APP peer review and onboarding activities.
• Supervise and mentor APP staff and ensure documentation in health records.
