Job summary

Tohono O'odham Community College is seeking qualified Adjunct Instructors to join a pre-qualified pool for courses across multiple disciplines. The pool will be used over the next 12 months to fill openings as they arise.

Compensation includes per-credit-hour and lab-section pay, with flexible formats and campus locations. Ideal candidates have a Master's degree in teaching with relevant teaching experience, plus comfort delivering online and hybrid courses and integrating Native cultural

Qualifications

• Knowledge of instructional methodologies, adult learning theory, and student evaluation methods.
• Ability to instruct students and evaluate performance.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with diverse stakeholders.
• Skilled with computers and educational software applications.
• Knowledge of the discipline area to be taught.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students in classroom settings in assigned areas.
• Teach evenings, hybrid, and online formats as needed.
• Develop course syllabi; plan, teach, observe; grade and evaluate.
• Facilitate study sessions and workshops for students.
• Develop instructional materials, exams, and tutorials.
• Research new programs and update curriculum with current practices.
• Incorporate Tohono O'odham culture into the curriculum.
• Assist in scheduling courses and offerings as needed.
