Job summary

Coconino Community College is seeking part-time faculty to teach assigned courses across multiple sites, using hybrid or online delivery as needed. The role is a temporary, non-benefits eligible position, course-by-course, semester-by-semester.

Pay is $1,202 per load hour; applicants outside Arizona may be employed through Kelly Educational Services. Official transcripts are required prior to a formal offer.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a related field with 10 years of Criminal Justice industry experience or a Bachelor’s with 7 years of experience.
• Ability to teach assigned courses and adhere to outlines and objectives.
• Proficiency with learning management systems (Canvas) and handling student data per FERPA.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned courses, adhering to course outlines and student learning objectives.
• Prepare and implement syllabi in accordance with college procedures and course outlines.
• Keep and submit essential instructional records per College calendar (grades, attendance).
• Notify Lead faculty and Dean in case of absence; arrange a substitute when possible.
• Follow college policies, including semester contracts and Letter of Intent.
• Respond to student inquiries promptly.
• Utilize Canvas to meet required minimum thresholds.
• Attend college meetings and new faculty orientation.
• Participate in student and program assessment as directed by Dean or Provost.
• Stay current in discipline practices and engage in college-wide assessment.
