Job summary

Colorado Technical University (CTU) seeks adjunct faculty to provide high-quality instruction aligned with CTU curricula. You will engage students, relate industry experience to learning, and maintain accessibility through regular office hours and timely communication.

Responsibilities include developing materials, delivering lectures and labs, and collaborating with program leadership to support student success. Prior teaching experience with adult learners is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in American Government or subfield; or out of field graduate degree with 18+ graduate hours in field/subfield or 5+ years’ professional experience.
• Doctorate Degree in American Government or subfield; 3+ years’ professional experience; and 3+ years’ teaching adult/non-traditional learners in higher education.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engaging instructional materials aligned with CTU curricula and outcomes.
• Provide instruction in assigned courses, including labs or work integral to courses.
• Engage with students to encourage participation and maintain professionalism.
• Relate professional experience to CTU’s learning model and industry trends.
• Maintain weekly office hours and respond promptly to inquiries.
• Assess student performance and provide feedback to support growth.
• Document student activities and collaborate with CTU teams to support students.
• Participate in CTU governance and annual training requirements.
