Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in mathematics or related field.
  • Preferred master’s degree appropriate for a secondary education teaching position and relevant teaching experience.
  • Duties include planning and delivering student-centered learning, using technology where appropriate.

Responsibilities

  • Adjunct faculty teach one to three courses on campus per semester.
  • They are employed on a semester-by-semester basis and reported to a Course Coordinator.
  • Create a student-centered, positive teaching and learning environment aligned with program goals.
  • Use provided texts, syllabi, exams, and curriculum materials to meet program standards.
  • Plan and implement activities for diverse learning styles in developmental math.
  • Maintain accurate student records for grading and communicate with the Course Coordinator and Program Director.
  • Engage in professional development and contribute to a positive work environment for part-time and full-time faculty.
  • Adhere to university and program policies governing the educational process.
