Job summary

Computer-Systems-Institute in Charlestown, MA seeks an Adjunct Instructor for the Business Fundamentals Program to teach courses such as Applied Business Concepts, Computer Applications I & II, and Financial Services.

The instructor will plan and deliver in-class instruction using approved curriculum, evaluate student progress, maintain SAP records, and engage in professional development and advising to support student growth and retention.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in business administration or related field.
• If degree is not in a directly related field, at least two years of related work experience or evidence of specialized training.
• Microsoft Office Specialist certifications are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Teach up to 27.5 hours per week.
• Prepare lesson plans for each class session.
• Deliver lectures and facilitate Project-Based Learning (PBL) on business topics.
• Assist students in the learning process.
• Evaluate and monitor student progress using various assessment tools.
• Maintain SAP reporting to the Academic Dean/Program Manager.
• Attend and participate in quarterly campus-wide instructor in-service meetings.
• Stay updated with teaching advancements by attending professional development activities.
• Organize field outings for student enrichment each module.
• Contribute to program improvement through committee involvement.
• Provide academic advising to support student growth and retention.
