Job summary

Moberly Area Community College is seeking a Coordinator of Access and ADA Services to assist the Director in managing ADA services across MACC sites. The role provides direct oversight of day-to-day operations and helps students, college personnel, and external agencies with ADA needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in education, counseling, human services, or related field.
• Strong organizational, communication and computer skills are required.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director in administrative and service functions of the Access and ADA Office.
• Monitor compliance with anti-discrimination and equal access laws including the ADA and Rehabilitation Act.
• Respond to inquiries about ADA services and eligibility for prospective students and external agencies.
• Meet with students to gather information about disabilities, needs, and accommodation requests.
• Verify eligibility for ADA services by reviewing disability documentation from various providers.
• Determine reasonable accommodations and adaptations.
• Coordinate daily operations for the ADA and Access Office at MACC-Columbia, including testing and assistive services.
• Provide ongoing consultation to faculty and staff working with students with disabilities.
• Maintain confidential records of registered students and services, and generate letters of accommodation each semester.
• Provide counseling to students with disabilities to meet educational goals and promote independence.
