Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to process invoices, ensure proper approvals, and maintain accurate vendor records. You will support monthly closing, audits, and internal controls while handling AP cycles in a nonprofit setting.

Qualifications include a high school diploma with accounting coursework and 2–3 years AP/AR in a computerized environment; nonprofit experience is a plus, along with strong Excel and Office 365 skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor level accounting courses are not required but helpful.
• Experience in AP/AR within a computerized system is preferred.
• Nonprofit or faith-based experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process AP transactions with proper approvals and distributions.
• Match POs, receipts and invoices for accuracy.
• Assist with month-end closing and audits.
• Maintain organized vendor and 1099 files.
• Reconcile statements and monitor aging reports.
