Job summary

City Year in the Education, Training & E-Learning department seeks an Academic Tutor and Mentor to work full-time in a partner public school, helping students succeed. You’ll provide individualized and small-group tutoring, monitor progress, and help build positive learning environments.

Joining a diverse AmeriCorps team, you’ll mentor students, support social-emotional learning, and assist with classroom activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in tutoring or mentoring students in a school setting.
• Ability to monitor student progress and adjust instruction.
• Commitment to building positive learning environments and SEL.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized tutoring and small-group instruction.
• Monitor student progress and adjust support as needed.
