Job summary

Xavier University’s Office of Academic Advising and Learning Support (OALS) is seeking an Academic Advisor focused on first-year and at-risk undergraduate students. You will provide individualized academic advising to help students understand degree requirements, plan progress, and register for courses while supporting their personal and co-curricular goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized advising to 200+ undergraduates, focusing on first-year and at-risk students.
• Support at-risk and probationary students with targeted guidance and resources.
• Collaborate with Faculty Advisors, departments, Career Development, Admissions and more.
• Contribute to outreach campaigns and assessment efforts across OALS.
