Job summary

Alertus Technologies in Baltimore is seeking an Associate QA Tester to join our QA team, working with developers to understand software operations and craft test plans for reliable code.

The role is office-based, with 70% manual testing and 30% automated testing, requiring clear bug reproduction and documentation, strong collaboration with engineering and non-engineering teams, and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Internship or academic project experience in software or mobile testing preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform functional, user experience, and performance testing for our suite of software and mobile products.
• Job will consist of 70% manual testing and 30% automated testing.
• Create and design test plans and test cases for various features and products.
• Execute test plans from specifications.
• Clearly isolate, reproduce, and document bugs in pre-production and customer environments.
• Manage issue tracking software to track testing progress of all known issues.
• Work cross-departmentally to report and resolve issues.
• Help to implement automation of software testing as instructed.
• Other duties as assigned
