The Cruelty Investigations Department at People For the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) in Norfolk, VA seeks a capable project coordinator to support a range of investigations and outreach efforts.

You will coordinate projects from concept to completion, perform research, communicate with public officials and the press, and collaborate across departments to advance PETA's campaigns.

Formación

• Degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• Proven ability to produce exceptional, accurate research and analysis
• Proven thorough knowledge of animal liberation issues and PETA campaigns
• Proven excellent writing and editing abilities, technological proficiency, organizational skills, and attention to detail
• Proven exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate various departmental projects from conception to completion
• Respond quickly to incoming special project requests, including research and analysis, public correspondence, and contacting public officials
• Liaise with other PETA departments on emerging technologies and assist with implementation
• Support lobbying efforts at Virginia and North Carolina General Assemblies
• Provide support across divisions during absences and high case volume periods
• Represent PETA to the public and advocate positions professionally
• Assist CAP through after-hours on-call rotations and animal shelter welfare checks
• Perform short-term field assignments
• Execute additional duties as assigned by supervisor
