Job summary

Geosyntec invites applications for an Intern / Co-Op in Civil/Environmental Engineering in our Tallahassee, FL office. This part-time role (~10 hours/week) spans 13–15 weeks during fall 2026 with potential for additional rotations.

Duties include engineering calculations, technical writing, data analysis, and possible fieldwork; coordination of transportation is expected by the student. Preferred candidates are currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Degree focus in civil, geotechnical, environmental or water resources engineering is preferred.
• Experience with ArcView, CADD, and Microsoft Office is preferred.
• Outstanding academic credentials and exceptional interpersonal, technical writing, oral and written communication and problem-solving skills are required.
• Job sponsorship is not available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Assist with engineering calculations using computer-based technical tools.
• Technical writing of reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals.
• Data input and analysis, including preparing maps, tables, and figures.
• Follow instructions and interact with engineers, geologists, office administrative staff, CADD operators (draftsmen), contractors and construction personnel.
• Potential for fieldwork such as soil and groundwater sampling, stormwater inspections, and drilling and contractor oversight.
• Assist in developing reports, graphics, tables, PowerPoint presentations using AI (Co-Pilot primarily, but other AI tools if necessary).
