Job summary

MCL Construction, serving Omaha and surrounding area, seeks a Program Delivery Lead to own preconstruction and design from initial sketches to final GMP. You will keep programs on budget and on schedule while aligning all stakeholders for clear accountability.

You’ll lead preconstruction planning, design reviews, and cost management, while guiding coordination meetings and documenting decisions. Travel up to 20% and strong client relations are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in project management or preconstruction within commercial construction.
• Experience with design-build or design-assist delivery methods.
• Understanding of construction budgeting, scheduling, and process from the ground up.
• Proficiency with project management tools and software.
• Clear communication and the ability to build trust with clients, subs, and internal teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities without losing track of detail.
• Willingness to travel occasionally (up to 20%).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate preconstruction schedules, budgets, and deliverables from day one.
• Engage architects, engineers, estimators, and consultants to align project objectives.
• Track timelines and milestones; flag risks early.
• Build strong client relationships through responsiveness and follow-through.
• Coordinate design reviews across disciplines to keep goals aligned.
• Support feasibility studies, value engineering, and constructability reviews.
• Keep design-build and design-assist moving under the Program Manager's direction.
• Run coordination meetings and document decisions and action items.
• Assist with cost estimates, budget updates, and scope definition.
• Monitor progress against budgets and flag corrective actions.
• Coordinate GMPs and lump-sum values with subs.
• Standardize workflows; capture lessons learned; keep audit-ready docs.
• Travel up to 20% and visit active job sites as needed.
