Job summary

The Emmes Company, LLC is seeking a Project Manager to independently manage smaller government-funded projects, ensuring alignment with contracts, timelines, and budgets. You will lead cross-functional teams, develop plans and trackers, and communicate project status and risks to stakeholders.

This role supports larger programs under senior leadership as needed. Required: a scientific degree, 4–6 years PM experience, PMP or plan to obtain, and strong budgeting and risk-management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent experience.
• PMP certification or obtained within 12 months of hire.
• 4–6 years of PM experience overseeing smaller or less complex projects.
• Experience managing project budgets, forecasts, and variances.
• Experience in cross-functional teams with accountable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Manage smaller or less complex government-funded projects from initiation to close.
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and trackers.
• Monitor progress, identify deviations, and keep projects on track.
• Lead cross-functional coordination and scheduling across teams.
• Communicate status, risks, and decisions to stakeholders and clients through leadership.
• Track budgets, forecasts, and variances; manage financial risks.
• Identify risks and issues, drive mitigation actions, and escalate when needed.
• Contribute to PMO initiatives and share lessons learned.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Scientific discipline

PMP certification
