Job summary

The University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix seeks a senior associate dean for Undergraduate Medical Education to provide vision and strategic oversight of UME. The role includes admissions, student affairs, curriculum, assessment, and LCME accreditation, reporting to the executive vice dean and collaborating with department chairs and UME directors to foster excellence in medical education.

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent from an LCME-accredited institution.
• At least 5 years of progressively complex administrative experience.
• National recognition as an academic leader.
• Experience developing educational programs and leadership.
• Experience recruiting and developing faculty, trainees, students.
• Board certified and AZ medical license at hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide vision and strategic oversight of UME.
• Oversee admissions, student affairs, curriculum, assessment, and LCME accreditation.
• Collaborate with department chairs and UME directors to enhance education.
• Foster education development of faculty and staff and manage resources.
