The position requires assisting with behavioral plans, daily living skills, and academic tasks; strong organizational skills and ability to work with diverse students are essential. Immediate start; 6.5 hours per day, 187 days per year.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing procedures and training materials for students with functional academic needs.
• Attend meetings and convey information.
• Conduct workshops and training to develop skills and relationships with students.
• Implement programs under teacher direction to improve academic and life skills.
• Instruct students individually or in small groups toward IEP goals.
• Perform record keeping and clerical tasks to support the teacher.
• Prepare materials for conveying information to students.
• Promote good habits to improve student outcomes.
• Respond to inquiries from administrators, teachers, parents for referrals.
• Supervise students to ensure a safe learning environment.
