Job summary

Tyson Foods in Newbern, TN is seeking a Food Safety & Quality Assurance (FSQA) Technician to uphold strict food safety and quality standards. The role includes inspecting products and plant systems, documenting results, and taking corrective action when needed.

You will work with the hourly workforce and must be able to lift heavy materials as required. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of related QA experience.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in the food manufacturing industry OR related Quality Assurance type experience.
• Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performing physical and visual inspections of products and plant systems.
• Documenting and calculating results accurately.
• Taking corrective action, such as alerting appropriate personnel to adjust processes, identifying, segregating, and isolating non-conforming products, and reporting results to management.
• Handling additional assignments as requested.
