Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 12 credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology or related social sciences.
• Two years of college coursework including 12 credits in the listed fields, or equivalent combination with experience.
• Two years of experience as a County Social Services Aide 3 or similar paraprofessional case management role.

Responsibilities

• Case Investigation: Conduct investigations into reports of child abuse and neglect
• Family Support: Provide in-home services that strengthen family functioning and safety
• Placement Coordination: Arrange and monitor placement services when children cannot remain safely in their homes
• Client Counseling: Offer guidance and counseling to children and family members to encourage positive decision making
• Information Gathering: Collect essential case information and maintain accurate documentation
• Agency Collaboration: Work with agencies and service providers throughout the social services network

Education
