Qualifications
- 2+ years writing or editing content for search
- SEO tools like SEMRush or Ahrefs
- Experience with CMS (Sanity, Contentful, WordPress)
- Experience using Airtable and Notion for PM
- Experience with AI tools to improve workflow
- Interest in public benefits programs and policy
- Experience managing freelancers
- Ability to report on traffic and rankings
Responsibilities
- Write and edit 3–4 pages a week about benefits programs
- Ensure content meets standards for accuracy, voice, and clarity
- Implement SEO best practices
- Report on content performance metrics
- Fact-check content with policy experts
- Become a subject-matter expert around core verticals
- Plan updates to improve rankings
- Identify content gaps and pitch new ideas
- Review freelancers’ work
- Repurpose content for different channels and audiences
