New Jersey Future seeks an experienced Communications Director to lead all communications policy advancement work and manage staff. The Director will oversee strategy, campaigns, and the advocacy agenda, reporting to the Executive Director.

Candidates should have at least 5 years in advancing public policy campaigns within nonprofit settings, strong writing and media skills, and experience supervising a team. NJF supports hybrid work and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience leading communications programs and staff in nonprofit policy advocacy.
• Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills for diverse audiences.
• Ability to translate legislative and regulatory developments into actionable communications.
• Proven ability to develop and manage strategic communications plans.
• Experience with media outreach and rapid-response communications.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate and lead the organization’s overall communications strategy.
• Develop and execute strategic communications projects advancing advocacy goals.
• Supervise communications staff and external contractors.
• Manage departmental budget and resource allocation.
• Create policy briefs, testimony, fact sheets, and stakeholder materials.
