Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. in Rahway, NJ is seeking summer interns for the Global Clinical Trial Operations CI organization. The program offers up to 12 weeks of hands-on projects aimed at quality and compliance improvements across global trials.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a STEM BS/BA program, available for full-time work in May/June 2027, with programming or advanced Excel skills and a strong interest in data analytics and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be currently enrolled in a full-time BS/BA degree program in a STEM-related discipline.
• Available to work full-time for up to 12 weeks commencing May or June 2027.
• Must have completed at least 2 years of collegiate study by June 2027.
• Programming experience and/or advanced MS Excel skills.
• Interest in managing quality and compliance-driven projects.

Responsibilities

• Support the CI team overseeing Clinical Quality Management System for trials conducted by GCTO.
• Generate quality and compliance metrics.
• Develop communications for CI key stakeholders.
• Develop tools to support trending analysis from quality data sets.
• Participate in process improvements.
• Create a capstone presentation illustrating internship activities and deliverables.
