LifeSTEPS is hiring a Director of Social Services/Program Coordinator in Fremont, CA to empower residents and families through education, case management, and coordinated services. This full-time, non-exempt role focuses on supporting seniors and multi-family housing programs with after-school initiatives for children.

The position requires a 4 year degree, driving eligibility in California, and a passion for nonprofit housing and supportive services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology or any related field.
• Two years of experience in a similar environment providing social services to multi-families, senior and children.
• Equivalency between education and experience may substitute for the degree.
• Background or experience working for a non-profit is a big plus.
• Valid California Driving License and reliable, insured transportation required

Responsibilities

• Empower low-income individuals and families to flourish by providing education and resources.
• Maximize the strengths of individuals by providing client assistance, case management, service coordination and community outreach.
• Ensure residents, especially older adults, have opportunities to thrive in housing and services.
• Empower children from low-income and underserved families to flourish by providing after-school education and resources.
• Ensure children have a safe place after school for homework help and enrichment.
