Job summary

LifeSTEPS is seeking a Director of Social Services/Program Coordinator in Fremont, CA. The role is non-exempt and part of a team focused on empowering low-income individuals and families through housing, supportive services, and education.

The position involves case management, service coordination and community outreach, with duties spanning resident education, after-school program support for children, and collaboration with a nonprofit mission to break the cycle of poverty.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology or any related field.
• Two (2) years of experience in a similar environment providing social services to multi-families, senior and children.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for the degree
• A background or experience working for a non-profit would be a big plus!
• Valid California Driving License and reliable, insured transportation required

Responsibilities

• Empower residents and families by providing education and resources to flourish.
• Coordinate client services, case management and service coordination.
• Conduct community outreach and support children with after-school programs.
