• Handling and processing patient specimens
• Isolating DNA and RNA
• Processing plasma and serum
• Maintaining cell cultures
• Performing cDNA synthesis
• Running PCR
• Performing gel electrophoresis
• Recording and documenting results of research experiments
• Attending regular lab meetings
• Developing additional skills through mentorship, including flow cytometry and bioinformatics
• Perform other job related duties as assigned
