Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Medical Lab Scientist I for our Indianapolis central laboratory. The role supports immunology-focused high-volume testing, performing routine and complex procedures with a strong emphasis on accuracy and instrument reliability.

You will work Monday–Friday first shift, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with overtime or shift flexibility as needed in a fast-paced, instrument-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in biology, chemistry, CLS/MLT or related field.
• MS techniques and LC-MS experience required.
• Experience in immunology-related testing and assays preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess specimen acceptability per SOPs.
• Perform routine and complex clinical tests per SOPs.
• Operate and troubleshoot instruments to minimize downtime.
• Make technical decisions on testing and result interpretation.
• Prepare and evaluate reagents/controls for accurate testing.
• Report timely test results for patient care decisions.
• Perform preventive maintenance and QC procedures on instruments.
• Monitor and replenish testing bench supplies to maintain workflow.
• Assist with processing specimens to support operations.
• Maintain a safe work environment with PPE compliance.
