Job summary

Alamar Biosciences is seeking a Scientist to join the Technology Access team to design, execute, and deliver NULISA immunoassay projects supporting translational science. The role requires hands-on immunoassay development, cross-functional collaboration with R&D, Sales and Marketing, and strong analytical capabilities in a fast-paced environment.

An ideal candidate will have a background in immunology, neuroscience, or proteomics and bring experience with immunoassay optimization.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related discipline; M.S. with 3+ years of experience will also be considered or BA/BS with 5+ years of experience
• Hands-on experience in executing and optimizing immunoassays such as ELISA
• Experience with high-sensitivity platforms (Simoa, MSD, or Luminex) is a plus but not required
• Familiarity with molecular biology methods (e.g., qPCR, ddPCR)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail in experimental execution
• Ability to manage time effectively, work collaboratively, and adapt in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills, including data presentation and technical documentation
• Knowledge of biomarker research, assay validation, or clinical sample testing is desirable

Responsibilities

• Design, conduct, and analyze NULISA immunoassay experiments to assess biomarkers across matrices
• Design and optimize assay parameters including sensitivity, specificity, detectability, and precision
• Troubleshoot technical challenges via root-cause analysis and implement corrective strategies
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely deliverables
