Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Active bar in good standing, ideally DMV area.
  • Minimum 2–3 years in immigration law.
  • Experience with children/youth preferred.
  • Spanish proficiency preferred.
  • Experience representing individuals in removal proceedings preferred.
  • Strong organizational, analytical and PM skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to USCRI values and diverse workplace.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct legal consultations with UAC to assess options for their case.
  • Provide direct legal representation to UAC in DM V area (DC/MD/VA).
  • Immigration Court Representation: Master Calendar and Individual Hearings, various Motions.
  • Handle SIJS and SIJS Custody cases.
  • Represent asylum, T visas, U visas, VAWA, Adjustment of Status, TPS, EADs.
