Job summary

The U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI) in Arlington, VA seeks a Staff Attorney to represent UAC in removal proceedings and related immigration matters. The role focuses on cases across DMV area, including SIJS, asylum, and other relief.

You will advise, provide direct representation, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to uphold the rights of refugees and immigrants, with an emphasis on supporting unaccompanied children.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with a state bar; preferably in the DMV area.
• Minimum 2–3 years of immigration legal experience.
• Experience representing individuals, preferably UAC, in removal proceedings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal consultations with UAC and assess options.
• Provide direct legal representation to UAC in DMV (DC/MD/VA).
• Represent in Immigration Court, SIJS, asylum, T/U visas, and VAWA matters.
• Maintain confidentiality and manage case files with strong organizational skills.
