Job summary

The Immigration Project in Illinois is seeking a dedicated AmeriCorps VISTA Digital Media Coordinator to expand outreach for immigration legal services. You will develop communications tools, calendars, templates, and engagement tracking systems, assess outreach efforts, and build partnerships with local organizations serving immigrant communities.

This full-time, year-long service includes a living allowance, healthcare, childcare assistance if eligible, and an Education Award or End of Service

Qualifications

• Associates degree (AA) required.
• English language proficiency required.

Job description

Increase access to immigration legal services for low-income immigrant communities in Central and Southern Illinois by strengthening TIP’s outreach and communications capacity breaking the cycle of poverty by increasing awareness of TIP’s legal services through accessible outreach materials and community partnerships, VISTA will do it under the one year of service. 1. Strengthen digital engagement through consistent social media content and informational campaigns. 2.Expand connections with organizations serving immigrant communities.3. Develop and track sustainable communication tools, calendars, templates, and procedures, and create engagement data to improve future strategies.

Member Duties :

Develop and implement a communications framework to strengthen The Immigration Project’s outreach and increase awareness of immigration legal services. The VISTA member will create communication tools, calendars, templates, and engagement tracking systems; assess outreach efforts; gather community feedback; manage digital campaigns; build and strengthen partnerships with organizations serving immigrant communities; and create sustainable procedures, training materials, and evaluation tools that support long-term outreach, engagement, and organizational capacity beyond the service term.
