Job summary

Burr & Forman LLP seeks a full-time, experienced immigration paralegal to support the firm's immigration practice in preparing, filing, and tracking immigration applications. The role is based in our offices, with preference for Atlanta, Bluffton, Columbia, or Greenville locations.

Ideal candidates have a paralegal certification or degree and at least two years of business immigration experience (H-1B, L-1, TN, PERM).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certification required.
• Two years of business immigration experience with visa petitions (H-1B, L-1, TN) and green cards (PERM).
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to own responsibilities.
• Excellent writing, proofreading, and research skills.
• Capable of managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborative team player with strong communication.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Asana or LawLogix is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare visa applications and petitions for business and employment-based immigration cases.
• Experience with an immigration case management system and project management software.
• Compile and analyze complex case facts and documents, prepare reports and other immigration documents.
• Maintain and manage case files, track deadlines, and respond to status inquiries.
• Communicate with clients, beneficiaries, attorneys, and government agencies.
• Draft immigration correspondence and supporting letters for attorney review.
