Job summary

Konare Law in Houston, TX seeks a dedicated Paralegal to support immigration attorneys, manage case files, prepare filings, and coordinate with clients.

You will handle calendars, document management, and trial materials, while maintaining confidentiality and delivering timely updates to clients.

A Bachelor’s or Associate degree with legal experience and a Paralegal Certificate is preferred; bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or associate degree with legal experience required or paralegal certificate preferred.
  • Two years immigration experience and two years customer service experience.
  • Strong customer service and independent work ability.

Responsibilities

  • Keeps cases organized with files, calendars, deadlines and updates.
  • Maintains client communication and informs on case progress.
  • Assists attorney with trial preparation and filings.
  • Answers phones and emails promptly.
  • Keeps client information confidential and attends meetings.
  • Tracks status of filings and drafts motions and exhibits.
  • Prepares indexes, pleadings, and legal research for litigation.

Konare Law Paralegal

Our firm specializes in removal proceedings and cases involving USCIS, DOS, and DOL, leveraging extensive immigration law expertise and strong litigation skills.

What is a Konare Law Paralegal?

As a Paralegal at Konare Law, you’ll work closely with attorneys to support clients through their immigration journey. You’ll manage casework, keep clients informed, and help prepare legal filings and trial materials. Every step of the way, you’ll play a vital role in helping clients feel supported and represented.

Responsibilities
  • Keeps cases organized by establishing and organizing files, monitoring calendars, meeting deadlines; documenting actions and client communication; inputting information into file database and confirming case status with attorney.
  • Keeps clients informed by maintaining contact and communicating case progress.
  • Helps their assigned attorney with trial preparation.
  • Answering phones and emails promptly.
  • Maintains client confidence by keeping client/attorney information confidential.
  • Attends all assigned client meetings both in person and telephonically.
  • Tracks the status of client filings.
  • Prepares and composes motions and routine correspondence while acting as a liaison to court personnel.
  • Prepare and draft filings to relevant federal and state agencies.
  • Complete indexes, pleadings, exhibits, checklists, motions, legal research for litigation proceedings.

  • Candidate should possess a demonstrated history of excellence in their career, as well as a passion for serving clients.
  • Candidate must have excellent customer service skills.
  • Candidate should have the willingness to cross-train for other job functions.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree with two years of legal experience or associate degree with three years of legal experience
  • Certification: Paralegal Certificate (Preferred)
  • Experience: Two years of immigration experience and two years of customer service experience.
