Job summary

Meltzer Hellrung is seeking an experienced immigration paralegal to provide account management for assigned clients. You will use the Voyager platform to manage profiles and case workflows from initiation to filing, and draft all forms and letters for attorney review.

You will handle PERM processes, initiate I-140 and AOS where appropriate, and supervise junior paralegals to support case progression and reporting for clients in Chicago.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of employment-based immigration experience in a paralegal role.
• Experience with visa preparation on H-1B, PERM, dependent-related visas, TN, E-3, H-1B1, I-140, AOS.
• Ability to manage personal day-to-day tasks for assigned client accounts and prepare reports.
• Experience directing junior paralegals to complete assigned processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide account management services to assigned clients in collaboration with attorneys.
• Use the Voyager platform to create and maintain client profiles, monitor case workflows, and manage case initiation to filing.
• Draft applications and all forms and letters, preparing assembled applications for attorney review.
• Complete PERM processes and initiate/prepare I-140 and/or AOS as assigned.
• Assign tasks to junior paralegals and oversee process initiations and final assembly.
• Support other clients' applications where knowledge or expertise benefits the team.
• Review drafts prepared by junior paralegals and provide feedback as needed.
• Monitor emails and internal/external communications; respond in a timely manner as required.
