Job description

Henry & Grogan, LLC, is a family owned immigration law firm based in Philadelphia. We provide high-quality legal representation to immigrants across the tri-state area. Our three attorneys utilize decades of combined experience to zealously advocate and assist our clients in telling their stories before federal and state courts, USCIS, and immigration Judges nationwide. Our firm prides itself in exceptional customer service and compassionately guiding our clients through the often stressful, fast-moving, and sometimes confusing U.S. immigration system. We support individuals and families through a wide range of immigration issues, including asylum, removal defense, visa petitions, and other immigration matters.

We are looking for a full‑time, on‑site paralegal based in Philadelphia, PA. The role will assist with filing family based immigration applications and petitions with USCIS, client communications, and phone intake. Ideally, we'd like a candidate with immigration experience who has handled significant workload management.

Drafting and form preparation

Prepare and assemble complete and accurate immigration filings from intake to attorney review and submission. Utilize our case management system to know where every case stands, what documentation is outstanding, and follow up with clients as necessary.

Calendar management

Track deadlines, schedule appointments and consultations, monitor and identify calendar conflicts, identify customer service issues requiring attorney attention, and create efficiency.

Client interaction

Answer phones, perform initial intake and note taking, gather documentation, answer basic client questions, help manage client expectation, and keep clients informed at key milestones.

Work with government agencies

Track case status through USCIS, EOIR, and the National Visa Center. Know or find how to follow up, what to document, and when to elevate.

Qualifications

  • Operational experience in a law firm environment where multiple cases are moving at the same time
  • Keen understanding of confidentiality and privacy concerns of client base
  • Experience in handling Immigration form preparation
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining quality
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience with immigration application preparation is heavily preferred, but we are willing to train a self‑motivated candidate.
