Join our Immigration Team as an Immigration Paralegal located in our Florham Park, New Jersey office.

This role will be based in our Florham Park, New Jersey office, on a hybrid basis. Regular in‑office presence is required for day‑to‑day operations, as well as for team meetings, training opportunities, and relationship building. This role reports to the Office Administrator.

Position Summary

The Immigration Paralegal position will provide organizational and practice‑specific support to attorneys in our highly specialized Immigration Department. The Paralegal will assist the team in a wide range of business immigration matters, including preparing various immigration petitions and applications. The candidate should also be flexible to work overtime as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare petitions/applications for various immigration‑related matters (PERM, I-140, CP, AOS, Naturalization, H-1B, L, E-1/2, TN, O-1, J, EB-5)
  • Prepare responses to sometimes complex requests for evidence
  • Maintain oversight of individual caseload to ensure timely completion of work
  • Research law and procedures and keep track of immigration law updates
  • Manage various administrative duties; maintain case‑management database and direct client contact—phone calls, emails, and postal correspondence
  • Create and maintain reports as needed
  • Contact USCIS and U.S. consulate/embassies, schedule visa appointment interviews
  • Assist in client intakes, prepare client mailings and submissions to various immigration offices
  • Liaise with government agencies (DOL, USCIS, NVC) to troubleshoot issues as necessary
  • Assist with other department activities as needed, and perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education & Prior Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Paralegal certification or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum of 3‑5 years business immigration experience within a law firm with demonstrated knowledge of complex issues within the Immigration practice area
  • Experience in preparing immigrant and non‑immigrant visa petitions
Technology
  • Computer proficiency in Windows‑based software and Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
  • Familiar with immigration case‑management systems (INSZoom)
  • Exceptional computer skills with the ability to learn new software applications quickly
The Expected Pay Range for This Position Is

$39.01 to $46.70 per hour. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, location, and other job‑related factors permitted by law. Full‑time employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, health insurance with an optional HSA, short‑term disability, long‑term disability, dental insurance, vision care, life insurance, Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, 401(k), vacation, sick time, and an employee assistance program.
