Ogletree Deakins is seeking an Immigration Legal Writer to draft correspondence and memoranda for the firm’s immigration practice, collaborating with attorneys and paralegals while meeting government deadlines. This position may be remote, but candidates must reside in a state with a firm office.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or ABA‑approved paralegal certificate and 2+ years of business immigration paralegal experience, plus strong proofreading, editing, and research skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university, or a paralegal certificate from an ABA‑approved program.
• 2+ years of paralegal experience in a business immigration practice.
• Experience researching law, investigating facts, and preparing documents to assist attorneys with immigration matters.
• Excellent proofreading, editing, reading comprehension, and time management skills. Successful candidates must be able to translate facts into understandable, persuasive content for review by officers adjudicating immigration matters.
