Job summary

Catholic Charities of Baltimore is seeking a Supervising Attorney to oversee the ILS Program, including case selection, supervision, and grant reporting. The role involves supervising staff and providing guidance to ensure high-quality legal services.

The attorney will represent clients before USCIS, EOIR, DOS, and federal agencies, mentor attorneys and staff, and collaborate with the Managing Attorney on program operations. Hybrid schedule with a 9:00 AM–4:30 PM workday.

Qualifications

• JD required from an accredited law school.
• Three years of immigration law experience.
• Experience with case management systems (e.g., LawLogix, INSZoom) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises staff attorneys, paralegals, DOJ Accredited Representatives, and legal assistants to ensure quality and accountability.
• Represents clients before USCIS, EOIR, DOS, ICE, and the Board of Immigration Appeals for immigration matters.
• Conducts comprehensive legal consultations and case assessments to guide strategy and documentation.
• Provides mentorship, guidance, and technical support to attorneys, paralegals, and staff to promote consistency and compliance.
• Partner with the Managing Attorney to oversee program operations, training, and performance improvements.
