Job summary

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) seeks an entry-level Deportation Officer to assist with immigration investigations and custody operations. You will work alongside experienced officers to prepare reports, take fingerprints and photos, and conduct interviews to support enforcement actions and potential prosecutions.

The role requires U.S. citizenship, background and drug screening, and compliance with Selective Service registration for qualifying males.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Background investigation and drug screening required.
• Males born after 12/31/59 must certify Selective Service registration.

Responsibilities

• Assist with apprehension of individuals violating immigration laws.
• Prepare investigative reports for possible prosecution or administrative action.
• Take fingerprints and photographs for law enforcement records.
• Conduct routine interviews and analyze information to respond to immigration inquiries.
• Document, transport, deport, or escort migrants under senior officer guidance.
• Support custodial operations and may initiate prosecutions and deportations as needed.
