Job summary

Immigrants First is seeking an attorney to represent individuals in Immigration Court and related family court matters for SIJS findings. You will prepare clients for interviews before USCIS, DOS, and the Asylum Office.

The ideal candidate has a JD from an accredited US law school, admission to the bar, and at least two years of immigration law experience. Fluent Spanish is a plus; flexible work-from-home options are available.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from a US-accredited law school.
• Bar admission in any US state; VA bar is a plus.
• Minimum of two years of immigration law experience.
• Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Represent individuals in Immigration Court and family courts for SIJS findings.
• Prepare clients for interviews before USCIS, DOS, and Asylum Office.
• Provide direct legal representation for asylum, withholding of removal, U-Visas, and T-Visas.
• Train and supervise support staff on legal matters and practices.
