Qualifications

• 3–5 years of immigration law experience
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Experience with family-based petitions, humanitarian cases, EOIR, detained cases, citizenship and USCIS applications
• Experience with case management software preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop strategy and prepare clients/witnesses for court/USCIS testimony
• Represent individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals
• Manage a workload of diverse immigration cases
• Conduct intake with detained individuals at centers
• Prepare immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based petitions
• Review and adjust immigration applications/packets as needed
• Collaborate with law enforcement and community organizations on immigration law changes
• Conduct strategic immigration consultations with potential clients
• Provide legal analysis to determine case benefits
• Prepare and submit legal briefs for various immigration cases
